Wisteria~ A work in progress ~ honoring a special memory

A friend asked me where I get ideas for some of my more involved jewelry pieces. I usally answer that question with: "I am inspired by nature". That fits this latest piece I am working on but there is more to this story than that. My Grandparents were married in South Carolina in 1934. My Grandfather once told me that the trees around that courthouse were full of the most lovely blooming wisteria that day. He was in his 90's when he told me that. I thought it was very touching that he remembered that and I've been fascinated with honoring that memory for a long time now.
Here is a scrapbook page I did with a copy of their wedding day photograph
George and Lois' wedding Day 1934
.........

I've always loved this photograph!

This week, I am working on a new design to reflect that memory in a piece of jewelry.
Here are some snippets of the work in progress. Those are my current tools for this project next to it: fine tipped wire cutters and a really fine tipped crochet needle.
I hope to get it finished this evening... but I'm still trying to decide between making it into a necklace or a brooch.  Which do your wear more of?
